I am so proud to work with such an experienced and committed Board. Our first board meeting barely contained its enthusiasm; everyone is eager to make this an impressionable year! I have to share with you just some of their diligent work behind the scenes. (I have tried not to forget anyone here!)
We had a great cruise last month for the Executive Board Induction! Thank you Sandy, Jennifer and Jessica for a lovely time!
Thank you, Toby, for executing a flawless exhibit this year at the Naples Chamber Tradeshow. Thank you to Rachelle, Sandy, Jill, Sam and Pat for volunteering shifts and putting our best face forward. It was hot and crowded, but our ladies remained pristine and friendly! Thanks to Sam, Sandy and Deb Elias for donating raffle items. Toby was able to add quite a few new names to our recruiting email roster.
Nicolette has launched our gorgeous, new, navigable website. Everyone should be very proud. So clean and hip! Thanks to Sam who is lining up our speakers this year. Thanks to Angi, Yvonne, Sandy and Rachelle who have been working hard on the audit hand-off and budget.
Jessica has given our newsletter a short and sweet format being thoughtful of everyone’s time deficit. Jean and Margot worked for hours on our Standing Rules revisions due for approval this month.
Remember with your ABWA membership renewal, you will have access to the Naples Chamber Events at Member rates. (Sign up on the Naples Chamber website.) Toby will be sending the Chamber a list of our renewing members.
The Registration Deadline for the October ABWA’s National Leadership Conference has been extended to September 14 as we are a Best Practices chapter (again!) You can get more information on WIN. Also on WIN, you can earn an APEX award for just completing your free on-line business classes! WIN is offering on-line awards for membership recruiting in addition to chances to win registration fees for events. Please invite your friends to join us.
We are looking for volunteers to help with WMH and also a Holiday Fundraiser. This is a great time to make an impact and to connect with women who have a lot to offer.
So all in all, this has been a whole lot of fun this month. The energy and excitement has been amazing. Get involved so you can enjoy it, too!
