Susan Fortner, President
Susan has over 20 years experience in public relations and marketing. She started as a journalist in the Cleveland area and upon moving to the Columbus worked as an account executive on the Nestle account for a top advertising agency.
She owned and operated a statewide publication for 12 years, selling it in 2006. She opened her own boutique agency, which specializes in the service related industry, specifically dental and medical. Fortner also produced a television show for two years while running the firm. She has completed her APR process (accreditation in public relations) and sits on several non-profit boards in Columbus. In 2013 Susan received special honors for her work in crisis management and has also been recognized for setting up creative charitable giveback programs.
Jennifer Ziegelmaier & Jamie Bergen
Jennifer has been a photographer in Naples for over 20 years. She specializes in business portraits, children, weddings and families. After the New Jersey native graduated from Furman University, she moved to Marco Island and now lives in Naples with her husband and two daughters. Jamie Bergen has been a Financial Advisor since 2008. She holds a Series 7 license, a Series 66 license and a Life, Health & Variable annuity insurance license. Bergen Wealth Management serves clients in Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, California, New York, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana. It is the independent branch of Stifel Nicolaus which was founded in St. Louis, MO in 1890.
In 1997, Jamie moved from New York to Marco Island with her family. She is a graduate of Lely High School. Jamie attended the University of South Florida from 2002 through 2004. In 2006 she received her bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University where she majored in Finance and minored in Economics. Jamie earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011.
Along with continuing her education and operating as a full time Financial Advisor with Bergen Wealth Management, Jamie is also extremely active in the local community. Jamie is a member Neapolitan Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). She is past Vice President and Secretary of ABWA. She was awarded Woman of the Year by ABWA in 2014. She is a graduate of Leadership Marco, Class of 2009. She is a member of the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. Jamie is also a founding member of the Naples chapter of Business Networking International. Jamie is the past Chair of the Marco Island Relay for Life Event.
